Welcome to the Engage Your Destiny blog where we stand united in our mission to support the men and women serving in the United States military. I’m Ben Peterson, the founder and CEO of Engage Your Destiny. Today I’m thrilled to share an incredible testimony that showcases the power of faith and divine intervention in the midst of battle.
Before diving into today’s message I want to offer a prayer. God, I pray for this testimony from the front lines of Iran. May it inspire us to become guardians of faith for our military supporting your work and your kingdom. In Jesus’ name Amen.
I’ve been deeply moved by the book of Joshua particularly Chapter 10 which recounts God’s miraculous intervention on behalf of Israel. Similarly we’ve witnessed God moving mightily among our military. Over a relentless six-week period a U.S. base in the Middle East was under constant threat enduring mortar and rocket attacks every 30 minutes to two hours. In the chaos an American family found themselves trapped at the base desperately needing to escape.
A chaplain stationed there cried out to God for a miracle, a six-hour window without attacks to evacuate the family. Against all odds God provided that window allowing helicopters to safely transport the family to safety. This story reminds us of God’s power and the miracles He works in our lives.
What challenges are you facing today? Do you need a break from life’s turmoil or a touch of divine intervention? Remember God answers prayers on the battlefield and He is the God of the impossible. Just as He granted a miraculous window in the Middle East He can provide solutions to your struggles.
In our own battles we must use the authority given to us by God’s word. Speak against negative forces with conviction. If you’re battling lust, fear or any other challenge rebuke it in Jesus’ name. Claim your new identity in Christ and wield the sword of the spirit, God’s word, powerfully.
Are your thoughts controlling you or are you taking them captive in obedience to Christ? As warriors of faith we are called to fight for our minds and the health of our families, communities and beyond. Engage Your Destiny supports our soldiers, airmen marines and sailors on the front lines. We encourage them to disciple them and meet them upon their return.
