Hey everyone, Ben Peterson here with Engage Your Destiny, and it’s an honor to connect with you this week. I want to express my gratitude for your support as we advance faith and the gospel across military bases nationwide. Let’s begin with a prayer. Father, thank you for this time and these words. Bless this message, and may your kingdom come to all who listen. Let us be warriors for Christ, serving you faithfully in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Today, we’re discussing the man in the arena and how to silence the critics, both external and internal. The critics might be people judging us or the voices within our minds. Let’s reflect on Psalms 25:12-14, which speaks about the fear of the Lord, the blessings that follow, and the covenant with those who respect God. I’ve recently had a deeper communication with God about fearing and honoring Him.
12 Who, then, are those who fear the Lord?
He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.
13 They will spend their days in prosperity,
and their descendants will inherit the land.
14 The Lord confides in those who fear him;
he makes his covenant known to them.Psalms 25:12-14
When we talk about fearing the Lord, it’s about a respectful relationship similar to what I experienced with a fierce sales manager I respected in my youth. Every great relationship involves a healthy respect and fear, and that’s what we’re called to in our walk with God. We often care more about others’ opinions or the critics within our minds than what God thinks. When we’re self-focused, we miss out on God’s will and blessings.
God wants us to make good choices in life and advance His kingdom. If we fear Him and care about His opinions, He will guide us into prosperity and success, impacting not only our lives but our descendants’ as well. This relationship with God means battling for an inheritance and trusting that no battle is wasted.
The Lord confides in those who fear Him, sharing His covenant and secrets. Do you want to hear God’s voice, His secrets, and His promises? This intimacy requires a sincere respect and fear of God. It’s about choosing to confide in Him and be someone He trusts to know His mysteries.
In our society, we’re bombarded by opinions on social media and other platforms. Yet, the voice that truly matters is often not heard, God’s voice. His guidance leads to prosperity and success, and He wants to make generational promises with us. Are you open to His invitation?
Let me share a quote from Teddy Roosevelt: “It is not the critic who counts…the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena…” We must choose to face battles and not let cold, timid souls stop our pursuit of victory.
Recently, God spoke to me about writing a second book, warning that His grace would be removed if I didn’t obey. This struck fear in me, knowing that writing without God’s grace is fruitless. What is God speaking to you? How is He calling you to live in reverent fear and listen to His guidance?
Friends, let us step into this season with faith, heeding God’s voice and receiving His promises. Let’s ensure we do not miss out on His grace. Thank you for being part of this mission. Please visit engageyourdestiny.org to join our fighting force, and share this message to broaden our impact. God bless you all, and we’ll see you soon.
